Blackfoot Idaho Urban Renewal Efforts will focus on businesses close to the Intersection of Judical and Birch Street

During an August 8th City Council Meeting in Blackfoot Idaho, the City's Urban Renewal agency had requested expansion of the Urban Renewal District to the Intersection of Judicial and Birch Street. Citing concerns over decaying structures and unsanitary conditions. According to Google Maps, the businesses included within the immediate intersection, were a Washington Federal Bank Branch, a Farmers Insurance Office, and a Car Dealership.

The images themselves were taken in 2011, two years before the August 8th meeting. The Urban Renewal Agency had also expressed their concerns about damages to life and property. A recommendation was given to Blackfoot City Council not to expand the district beyond the proposed measure.
