In-Depth The Documented History of Child Welfare Services in the United States Of America

In the 21st, Child Welfare within the United States is commonly associated with an agency called, “Child Protective Services.” This agency, originally passed into law by President Richard Nixon, makes up what we know of Child Welfare today. However, Child Welfare in the United States goes farther back then the Nixon Administration. As a document obtained through the childwelfare.gov website points out;
In terms of Department Jurisdiction, the Children’s Bureau of the United States was a part of the Department of Labor, as the agency’s overview states.
According to Department of Labor documents from the 1930s, an effort was made s to provide aid to mothers.
During this time, the Department had also discussed the issue of Childhood Delinquency.

From 1936-1938, the Department of Labor described how the Development of the Program had progressed.
The Social Security Act, is the primary source of current Foster Care Funding under Title IV-E of the Social Security Act. During this time, Francis Perkins served as Secretary of Labor for the United States. In 1974, the Child Abuse Prevention Treatment Act was signed by Richard Milhouse Nixon.
In the late 1990's, under the Administration of President William Jefferson Clinton. Operations related to Child Protective Services was reformed under the "Welfare Reform" Initiative. As Rand Corporation writes;
In 1997, a Report titled, "The Corrupt Business of Child Protective Services" was issued in the State of Georgia.

According to a document obtained through the California Public Records Act, this was the partial expenditure for Los Angeles county in 2012.
According to a document obtained through the childwelfare.gov website, a presentation discussing the Affordable Care Act application was issued by Georgetown University.
Last year, the California Department of Social Services had posted the following for Foster Care Reimbursement Rates in the state.
In the State of Idaho, the United States Department of Health and Human Services had issued an Audit Report last year.
A letter obtained from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare's website listed the following for Foster Care Reimbursement rates;
Former Teacher, Lisa Calvin, discussed the 21st Century issues of Child Welfare from a Public Education Standpoint.
 Addressing 21st Century Law Enforcement Protocol on Child Welfare issues. Diane Goldstien, member of the Board of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition spoke on the issue in an interview with the Russ Belville Show;
 My Interview with the Russ Belville Show discussed the finances of Child Protective Services.

As the Economic Crisis unfolds, discussions related to Child Welfare, are currently being driven by multiple subjects.

October 14th City Council Work Session Meeting removed from City Council Website

According to the Boise City Council website, the video for October 14th Work Session meeting does not exist;

At the Work Session, an update was given in regards to the Boise Bike Share Project. An initiative that includes the Valley Regional Transit System.
In a City Council Friday Memo, issued August 2nd of last year, this was the update on the project at that time;
 


This was the City Council Vote for the Project;

United Water Working to Amend Agreement with Brian Water Users Association

United Water is currently working to amend an agreement with the Brian Subdivision Water Users Association. This, according to documents obtained through the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, serves the following functions;
 
Users of the Water Association submitted a petition to the IPUC, stating the following;
 
This was further backed up by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, in a letter submitted by them;
 
The case is still open, according to the Commission's Website.

Prominent Idaho Environmental Activist arrested at Payette County Idaho Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting

Prominent Environmental Activist Alma Hasse had recently been arrested by Payette County Sheriffs Department. The issue stems from a October 9th Meeting of the Payette County Planning and Zoning Commission;
According to Jim Hasse, Alma's husband, these are the current details and whereabouts of the activist;
 


No further information is currently available at this time, more to come, as soon as, its available.

A court date has now been scheduled for Alma Hasse at the Payette County Courthouse, in Payette Idaho.
